The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed Kryptek Transitional is a lightweight, performance-focused bolt-action hunting rifle designed for hunters who demand versatility in the field. This 2026 SHOT Show Special combines a redesigned X-Bolt 2 action with a fluted sporter-contour barrel, adjustable Vari-Tech composite stock, and Kryptek Obskura Transitional camouflage.

The Vari-Tech composite stock provides three-way adjustment, including adjustable length of pull, comb height, and grip angle. Interchangeable sporter and vertical grip modules allow the stock to be configured to the shooter, while black overmolded grip surfaces provide a secure hold in varying conditions. The stock is finished in Kryptek Obskura Transitional camouflage for concealment across a range of hunting environments.

The .270 Win configuration features a 22-inch fluted sporter-contour steel barrel with 5/8"-24 muzzle threading. A radial muzzle brake and thread protector are included, providing flexibility for the shooter's preferred muzzle configuration. The barreled action is finished in Smoked Bronze Cerakote for durable metal protection.

The X-Bolt 2 platform adds an adjustable DLX Trigger, additional bolt guidance surface area, a short 60-degree bolt lift, Bolt Unlock Button, top-tang safety, and X-Lock Scope Mounting System. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws while the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
