The redesigned X-Bolt 2 action incorporates additional bolt guidance surface area for smoother operation. A spiral-fluted bolt and ergonomic bolt knob complement the short 60-degree bolt lift, providing fast cycling and helping clear larger optics. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws, while the barrel is free-floated for consistent accuracy.

A patent-pending adjustable DLX Trigger comes from the factory set at 3.5 pounds and can be adjusted down to 3.0 pounds. The Bolt Unlock Button works with the top-tang safety to provide an added measure of safety when checking and unloading the rifle. The X-Lock scope mounting system uses four screws per base for a secure optic mounting platform.
