The Geissele Freedom Weapon® (GFW®) 8" 5.56 NATO SBR represents the next evolution of compact fighting rifles, combining the legendary reliability of the Geissele Super Duty platform with an innovative ultra-compact design optimized for close-quarters use, vehicle deployment, and personal defense applications.

At the heart of the GFW is Geissele's revolutionary dual-telescoping stock system, which allows the rifle to collapse to an incredibly compact 21.38 inches while maintaining immediate access to all firing controls. The stock deploys instantly with a simple pull to the rear and locks securely into two extended positions, providing a stable cheek weld and excellent control in a remarkably small package.

Engineered specifically around its 8-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel, the GFW utilizes Geissele's patented Phased Array® Gas System and Tri-Port™ System to optimize reliability and recoil management. Working alongside the proprietary monolithic bolt carrier and custom-length Super 42® braided buffer spring, the system delivers an exceptionally smooth shooting experience rarely found in ultra-short 5.56 platforms.

The rifle features Geissele's industry-leading components throughout, including the SSA-X® trigger, MK16 handguard, Airborne Charging Handle, Maritime Bolt Catch, Super Configurable Safety, and A17 reduced-angle grip. The enhanced Geissele Stressproof Bolt®, developed with Carpenter Steel, offers significantly increased durability and fatigue resistance compared to standard mil-spec bolts.

Finished in black and equipped with a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556 muzzle device for compatibility with HUXWRX Flow suppressors, the GFW is built for shooters seeking maximum capability in the smallest possible footprint.
