HAWKINS M5 DBM REM 700

The Hawkins Precision M5 Detachable Box Magazine (DBM) is designed for precision rifle applications where reliable magazine changes and a durable bottom metal system are essential. CNC machined from a billet of aluminum, the M5 DBM combines a drafted magazine port with an integrated barricade stop for a practical precision shooting setup.

The M5 DBM features Hawkins Precision's patented cantilever spring release, designed to resist opening under recoil. The system fits Remington 700 pattern actions and M5 inlets, with multiple configurations available for short-action, long-action, medium-action, and other compatible actions.

The Short Action version can accommodate AW magazines when the action is appropriately cut and the AW latch is selected. The M5 DBM includes action screws and bedding pillars for installation. Hawkins Precision recommends contacting them before modifying the latch.
