BRAVE CASTLE BCR-1 FLECKTARN

Developed in Germany in 1976 Flecktarn was intended for woodland temperate terrain. It is the camo of the fall season and is definitely one of our favorites. The pattern is unique and is almost unobtanium as it can only be imported. Flecktarn is made up of 5 colors, dark green, grey-green, red-brown, and black. Based on German research into patterns found in nature, Flecktarn allows the wearer to donn the tree line water colors found in the works of Bill Waterson. The name Flecktarn is derived from a composite of the German words “Fleck” ( spot, blot, or mark) and “Tarnung” (camouflage). The pattern was introduced in 1990 after the reunification of the German army and is still used today. The Dutch army tested Flecktarn and rejected it because it was considered “too aggressive”.

The cummerbunds replace your existing ones. A plate carrier with a contained back Velcro panel is necessary for proper use.

Multiple Pockets:

The BCR-1 includes 556-sized cell pockets on the left side cummerbund and one 556-sized cell pocket and one 4" med pocket cell on the right side cummerbund. The 4" pocket features multiple loop fields for additional modular pouches (sold separately).
