IMPACT PRECISION NBK ULTRALITE SHORT ACTION

The Impact Precision NBK ULTRALITE Short Action brings the proven design of Impact's competition actions into an exceptionally lightweight precision hunting platform. Weighing as little as 24 ounces, the NBK ULTRALITE is engineered to reduce weight without compromising the rigidity and dimensional consistency needed for a precision rifle.

The receiver is machined as a single piece with an integral recoil lug and integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail. The .240-inch-thick integral recoil lug provides a rigid foundation, while the receiver is rough machined, heat treated, EDM-cut at the bolt races, and finish machined to maintain exacting dimensional tolerances.

The one-piece bolt incorporates geometry and clearance designed for smooth operation under field conditions, with heavy fluting on all sides to help carry dirt away. A mini M16-style extractor and plunger ejector provide the extraction and ejection system, while the rugged bolt stop is designed to withstand hard use without requiring modifications to compatible stocks or chassis.

The NBK ULTRALITE uses a Remington 700-style action footprint, providing compatibility with a wide range of stocks and chassis. It also uses Remington 700-style triggers and features a trigger hanger designed to simplify field maintenance. The aluminum shroud and bolt knob are manufactured from 7075 aerospace aluminum and anodized.

Impact Precision specifies a headspace guarantee of ±.001 inch, with receiver headspace and indexing tolerances designed to allow compatible actions and barrels to be purchased off the shelf and user installed.
