MDT METAL AICS SHORT ACTION MAGAZINE .308/6.5 CREED

The MDT Metal AICS Magazine is a durable steel magazine designed for rifles and chassis systems using AICS-pattern magazines. Available in 5-round, 10-round, and 12-round configurations, these magazines are built from high-strength steel and finished with a nitrided surface and Cerakote Elite coating inside and out for durability, corrosion resistance, and reduced friction.

The MDT AICS-pattern magazine is designed to support a broad range of popular short-action cartridges, including .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, .243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 7mm-08 Winchester, .308/7.62x51 NATO, and .22-250 Remington at reduced capacity.

The standard magazine configuration includes a front binder plate. With the binder plate installed, maximum cartridge overall length is 2.870". MDT also offers the magazine without the front binder plate, allowing cartridges up to 2.960" COAL. The binder plate helps retain cartridges toward the rear of the magazine and guides them past the bottom of the feed ramp.

These magazines are compatible with AICS-pattern bottom metal and chassis systems. MDT notes that magazines with a front binder plate are compatible with all rifles equipped with AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems, while some rifles and actions may require modification when using the longer COAL capability of the binder-plate-free configuration.
