The SOF Operator VIR is a purpose-engineered 6 ARC rifle designed to bridge the gap between close-quarters maneuverability and precision mid-range performance. Rather than adapting an existing AR platform to a new cartridge, the VIR was developed from the ground up to fully exploit the ballistic advantages of 6 ARC while maintaining exceptional reliability, suppressor compatibility, and compact handling.

Built around a precision-machined billet 7075 lower receiver and a rigid semi-monolithic billet 7075 upper receiver, the VIR delivers the durability and consistency demanded by professional users, precision shooters, and hunters alike. Its 14.5-inch match-grade 4150 steel barrel with a 1:7.5 twist provides outstanding stabilization and sub-MOA accuracy while maximizing the long-range capabilities of the 6 ARC cartridge.

Engineered specifically for the pressure curve and case geometry of 6 ARC, the VIR features a dedicated barrel extension that enhances extraction reliability, bolt stability, and long-term durability. The system remains compatible with MIL-SPEC bolts while supporting both the latest Magpul 6 ARC magazines and Magpul 6.8 SPC magazines, providing exceptional logistical flexibility without compromising reliability.

The intermediate-length direct impingement gas system delivers smooth operation in both suppressed and unsuppressed configurations. When paired with the SOF Operator 6RX suppressor, the VIR becomes an exceptionally versatile rifle capable of transitioning seamlessly from compact urban applications to precision engagements at distances up to 600 meters.
